About PsychBright Health
PsychBright Health is a physician-led outpatient psychiatry practice headquartered in Beverly Hills, delivering 100% virtual psychiatric care across California. Our model is holistic and evidence-based; we combine medication management with lifestyle, mindfulness, and coordinated therapy referrals so patients get personalized, longitudinal care.
We treat the full range of mental health conditions, with particular depth in mood disorders, anxiety, ADHD, OCD, PTSD, sleep disorders, eating disorders, schizophrenia and psychotic disorders, and substance use disorders, including Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) and home opioid detox.
The Opportunity
We are hiring 1099 Psychiatric Physicians who want to practice psychiatry the way it’s meant to be practiced; thoughtfully, longitudinally, and without administrative drag. This is a true outpatient telepsychiatry role with sustained patient volume, full operational support, and a clinical environment shaped by physician leadership.
You will see California patients exclusively via secure telehealth, build longitudinal relationships with your panel, and have direct input into the clinical standards that govern our practice. There is also opportunity for collaborating physician work with our PMHNP team for physicians interested in expanding into clinical leadership.
What You'll Do
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for new patients via secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth
- Diagnose and treat the full scope of adult outpatient psychiatric conditions, including complex and co-occurring presentations
- Develop and manage individualized medication management plans, with ongoing monitoring, dose adjustments, and outcomes tracking
- Provide Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) for opioid, alcohol, and tobacco use disorders, and supervise medically appropriate home opioid detox protocols
- Serve as a clinical resource to the PMHNP team for complex cases, with the option of formal collaborating physician work for interested candidates
- Coordinate care with therapists, primary care providers, and other specialists as needed
- Document encounters accurately and on time in our EHR
What You Bring
- Active, unrestricted California Physician and Surgeon license (MD or DO)
- Board certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN), or board eligibility within an acceptable timeline
- Completed ACGME-accredited psychiatry residency
- Active DEA registration in California
- Minimum 2 years of post-residency outpatient psychiatric practice preferred
- Demonstrated experience with the full scope of adult outpatient psychiatry, including mood, anxiety, ADHD, OCD, PTSD, eating, sleep, psychotic, and substance use disorders
- Comfort with telehealth care delivery and EHR documentation
- Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and a patient-centered mindset
- Reliable high-speed internet and a private, HIPAA-appropriate workspace
- Active individual malpractice coverage, or willingness to obtain prior to start
What We Handle, So You Can Focus on Patients
- Full credentialing across all major commercial payers
- Complete onboarding, EHR setup, and clinical workflow training
- 100% of billing, claims, posting, and revenue cycle work
- Patient intake, scheduling, and front-desk coordination
- Marketing and referral pipeline development; we keep your schedule full
Schedule and Volume
- Practice hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Pacific
- Flexible blocks within those hours; you set your weekly availability
- We are looking for physicians who want consistent, meaningful weekly hours, not occasional one-hour shifts. If you want to build or sustain a busy panel, this is the right fit.
