Yes. A California licensed psychiatrist can evaluate you by video, diagnose, and send a prescription to your pharmacy without an in-person visit first. Most psychiatric medications, including antidepressants, mood stabilizers and non-stimulant options, are prescribed this way routinely. What is appropriate for you is a clinical decision made after a full evaluation.
PsychBright is psychiatrist-led. Your care comes from a board-certified psychiatrist, or from a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner working under psychiatrist supervision and clinical oversight. You are told who you are booked with before the appointment.
Every clinician is licensed in California, and several are bilingual. Responses to treatment differ from one person to the next.
We accept Medicare and Medicare Advantage, which many psychiatric practices do not, along with Aetna, Anthem, Blue Cross, Blue Shield, Cigna and Evernorth, Health Net, UnitedHealthcare, Optum, Carelon, SCAN, Regal, L.A. Care, TriWest, TRICARE, Providence and UCLA Health. Our intake team verifies your plan before the first appointment.
