Standard psychiatric care is often constrained by time, insurance requirements, and the demands of high patient volume. For many people, that model works. For others, especially those managing complex conditions, demanding schedules, or a preference for a closer relationship with their care provider, a more personalized approach makes a meaningful difference.
At PsychBright Health, our concierge psychiatry program is built for patients who value direct communication with their psychiatrist, flexibility in scheduling, and a level of attention that goes beyond what a traditional model can offer. It is psychiatry designed around you, not around a calendar or an insurance form.
Concierge psychiatry is a membership-based model of care that provides enhanced access to your clinician and a more customized treatment experience. Rather than brief appointments dictated by insurance reimbursement structures, concierge care prioritizes depth of engagement, continuity, and direct communication.
Patients in our concierge program benefit from extended appointment times, the ability to reach their psychiatrist directly between visits when clinically appropriate, and a treatment relationship built on consistency and genuine familiarity with their history, goals, and preferences.
According to the American Psychiatric Association, access to consistent, ongoing psychiatric care is one of the strongest predictors of treatment success, particularly for patients managing complex or chronic conditions. It is a different level of access and attention built on the same board-certified psychiatric expertise that defines all care at PsychBright Health.
Patients who choose our concierge program experience a meaningfully different approach to their mental health care, including:
The result is a treatment experience where patients feel genuinely supported, consistently heard, and confident that their psychiatric care is receiving the attention it deserves.
Concierge membership is billed monthly and covers three things standard psychiatric care does not: direct access to your psychiatrist between appointments, priority scheduling, and coordination of your care with the people around you.
Membership runs month to month. There is no minimum commitment and no fixed term to sign up for.
Insurance is handled separately from membership. The monthly fee is not billed to insurance. Your individual appointments can be, and those are billed separately.
Concierge psychiatric care is a strong fit for patients who:
Concierge services are offered on a limited basis to ensure each patient receives the full level of attention the program is designed to provide.
PsychBright Health brings together board-certified psychiatrists who specialize in the full range of psychiatric conditions, offering the same clinical expertise as any major psychiatric practice alongside a level of access and personalization that standard care cannot match. Concierge patients receive priority scheduling with same-day or next-day appointments, direct phone and text access to their psychiatrist between visits, and extended appointment times that allow for genuine clinical depth. We accept Medicare Advantage, Medicare, Aetna, Anthem, Blue Cross, Blue Shield, Cigna and Evernorth, UHC, Optum, Health Net, L.A. Care Commercial, SCAN, Carelon, Tricare, and Triwest, including Medicare Advantage plans that many practices do not accept. Telepsychiatry is available to any California resident, meaning concierge care is not limited to patients who can travel to our Los Angeles office. Bilingual care in Spanish is also available.
The clinical quality is the same. The difference is in access, time, and personalization. Concierge patients receive extended appointment times, priority scheduling, and direct messaging access to their psychiatrist between visits. Standard care operates within the constraints of insurance-driven scheduling and visit lengths, which typically means shorter appointments and longer waits. Concierge care removes those constraints without compromising the clinical standards that define all care at PsychBright Health.
Your first appointment is a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation with extended time built in, typically 60 to 75 minutes rather than the standard 45. Your clinician will review your full symptom history, medical background, current medications, prior treatment experiences, lifestyle factors, and your goals for care. There is no rush. Medication is not automatically prescribed at the first visit. Some patients begin treatment immediately if the clinical picture is clear; others take additional time to complete the evaluation and establish a plan. The goal is to understand you fully before recommending anything.
The monthly membership fee is not billed to insurance. Your individual appointments can be, and they are billed separately from the membership. PsychBright is in network with most major plans, listed on our insurance page. Call (213) 584-2331 and we will check your specific plan before you commit to anything.
Concierge care is a strong fit if you have found standard psychiatric care too rushed, have a complex condition requiring closer monitoring, travel frequently and need scheduling flexibility, or simply want a closer and more consistent relationship with your clinician. The best way to find out is to contact our office. We will walk you through the program, answer your questions, and help you determine whether it fits your needs. There is no obligation before that conversation.
Yes. All psychiatric care at PsychBright Health is protected under HIPAA. Your employer cannot access your psychiatric records without your written consent. Your family members cannot access them either unless you authorize it. The enhanced access that comes with concierge care, including direct messaging, operates within the same HIPAA-compliant framework as all clinical communication. The only circumstances under which information may be shared without consent involve a serious, imminent risk of harm to yourself or others. Your privacy is protected by federal law.
Yes. Concierge patients can access care in person at our Los Angeles office or via secure, HIPAA-compliant video appointments for patients anywhere in California. Flexibility in how you receive care is a core part of the concierge model. Many concierge patients split their appointments between in-person and telehealth depending on their schedule and preference.
A psychiatrist is a medical doctor who can diagnose psychiatric conditions, prescribe and manage medications, and oversee your overall psychiatric care. A therapist provides talk therapy such as CBT or DBT. In the concierge model, your PsychBright psychiatrist focuses on psychiatric evaluation and medication management while coordinating directly with your therapist to ensure both parts of your care are aligned. If you do not have a therapist and would benefit from one, we can provide referrals to therapists who match your specific needs.
Concierge patients are scheduled same-day or next-day. That is the core of what membership buys: time held for you, rather than the next slot that happens to open. Request an appointment online or call (213) 584-2331.
Membership is billed monthly and runs month to month, with no minimum commitment. The monthly fee covers direct access, priority scheduling, and care coordination. Individual appointments are billed separately and insurance can be used for those. Call (213) 584-2331 and we will walk through how the two parts fit together for your plan.
